Busch Gardens Tampa, Florida
Being right down the block from this theme park has provide our Tampa Tree Pros crew many hours of fun and enjoyment on company picnics.
Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay is the ultimate family adventure, having world-class thrill rides, live entertainment and more than 12,000 animals. Challenge a 335-foot drop tower, Falcon’s Fury, or run like a cheetah on Cheetah Hunt. Busch Gardens’ newest attraction, Cobra’s Curse puts a spin on family thrills with this one-of-a-kind spin coaster.
People have often asked, what is the best strategy for spending a day at the park? Are there better times to do the big rides? Wait times depend on the crowd. Going any weekday is better than weekends or holidays. People find that if you go in super early (if you have early admission to HP world) the lines are shorter. There were times where people found that even on the busier days, if they rode the more popular rides after 7 or 8 pm, the lines were MUCH shorter! If you have the fast pass, then you are good to go, most didn’t wait more than 30 minute.
The park is large and has many things to do. Frankly, I’d say the best way our crew enjoyed Busch Gardens is to spend at least 2 days there — one day for the rides and shows, another for the animals and enjoying the lush gardens. But, if you’re like most people who visit the park, your stay is for just one day. This is just one of many parks in Tampa.
A couple of tips we have learned from going to Busch Gardens Tampa
- Start early! This could apply to any theme park, but it is especially useful for spending a day at Busch Gardens Tampa. Most of the time the park doesn’t get busy until after 11am.
- Bring Protection! It is very hot and humid most of the year in Florida, so bring sunscreen and water. You’ll thank us later for this.
- Go on the sky ride first! This will give you a good idea of how the park is laid out and help you go to the area you want first.
- Consider a fast pass! This is the best one if your able to do it. It makes the day so much more enjoyable.
